In Finland the books about Ella are very popular in schools. Meanwhile Timo Parvela´s stories were filmed and they developed real cult status.
Those who do not only want to get to know the author on 9 October and listen to the latest Ella stories will have the opportunity to see more about her in the Capitol cinema.
On two afternoons the Jugendförderverein invites children to see a film for free about Ella.
To sum up the plot: She and her friends are appalled because their small school is to be pulled down for a race track. That means that they will have to move to a bigger school complex. As the pupil´s protest has hardly any effect Ella decides to bet with the builder of the race track that she and her friends will be faster than his son who is a racer. The big problem: Ella and her friends do not have a race car.
More should not be revealed. Soon you can see more in the cinema: Ready, steady, go!
