The stories about the Moomins have become an important part of Finnish family life. Tove Jansson created a real classic for the whole family by inventing characters like Moominpappa, Moominmamma, Snork Maiden, Sniff and not to forget Moomin himself. There are various film adaptations and a comic strip about the Moomins published by Tove and her brother Lars.

The adventures of the Moomins, fairy tale characters with large snouts that make them resemble hippopotamuses, are very popular even in Germany. That is why the comic translator of the Moomins, Matthias Wieland, will present their stories in the kindergartens of Bad Berleburg.

In the past he was at the Leipziger Book Fair where he invited young visitors to experience the fantastic world of the Moomins. This event was part of the program FINNLAND.COOL. The books about the Moomins can be read or read aloud and they are suitable even for small children as picture books. Parents can be sure that their kids will never get enough of this special hippo family.
