The last part of the trilogy of Ingar Johnsrud about commissar Fredrik Beier fascinates the reader until the end: Two murder victims, a shocking political scandal and a surprising connection to his father - Fredrik Beier's last case becomes his most personal one.
Oslo, Norway: An employee of the Norwegian ministry of defense and his girlfriend are found murdered in a car wash. The word "Verräter" was smeared on the car. A few days later, a female reporter disappears without a trace. She had started investigations concerning the dead man's past, and beyond she tried to get information about Chief Inspector Fredrik Beier's deceased father. As the investigation reveals more and more connections to Fredrik's life and past, he has to wonder whom he still can trust. Even his partner Kafa Iqbal seems to conceal something from him. Finally he uncovers a political scandal that is even worse than any other scandal has ever been.
The evening in the district court promises to be very special. The German voice Dietmar Wunder – inter alia synchro voice by Daniel Craig (James Bond) – will make you shudder. The moderator is Margarete von Schwarzkopf, who hosted already a wonderful evening for the Literaturpflaster with the author Xinran in 2009.
An exciting and entertaining evening is guaranteed for the audience.
