Featuring the music by "Super Mama Djombo"
Couto, once the guitarist of the legendary band Super Mama Djombo, struggles through life after a fashion in Guinea-Bissau. One morning he heard of the death of his first great love Dulce, the singer of the band. He roams the streets, from bar to bar, from friend to friend. Thirty years of memory pass by him: pictures of the beloved, triumphal concerts around the world, tragedies of the struggle for independence.
The city is under high tension. All await the threatening coup of the generals. Then the musicians decide to give a concert for the deceased singer. As the night falls over the city, no one seems to remember the hits of the formerly famous band at first. The first shots can already be heard. The coup begins. But also the concert at Chiringuitó …
Together with Sylvain Prudhomme, two musicians from the band "Super Mama Djombo" will perform and make the evening an unforgettable experience.

Sylvain Prudhomme
Sylvain Prudhomme, born in 1979, is a writer and translator. He spent his childhood in Cameroon, Burundi, Mauritius and the Niger. He studied literature in Paris and worked in Africa for several years. He is the author of several novels and co-founder of the magazine Geste. For Ein Lied für Dulce, he was awarded the Prix littéraire Georges-Brassens in 2014 and the Prix littéraire de la Porte Dorée in 2015.
