Multivision "France"

Multivisionsshow von Martin Schulte-Kellinghaus: 'Frankreich'

by
Martin Schulte-Kellinghaus

The recent report of Martin Schulte-Kellinghaus is about travelling by house boat: Initially, through the wonderful and lonely nature in the valleys of the Vosges, later through the secluded rural regions of Franche-Comté.

Monasteries and castles pass by in Burgundy until you arrive on the river Seine in Paris. In the French metropolis discoveries are made in a whole new way.

The river Oise leads to the North, war graves remind you of the battle fields of World War I. There's a dense and diversified canal network in northern France. Ingenious architects created unique gothic cathedrals here. You can discover five gothic marvels on the trip from Reims to Amiens on the cathedral journey, each more beautiful than the other.

The Canal du Midi in Southern France surely is a highlight for every house boat adventurer. Enjoy the flair of the South. Surrounded by vineyards left and right, you slowly float on the canal through shadowy avenues of plane trees - that's balm for the soul.
