Theatre trip: "Radio Universe"
by Nino Haratischwili
Hessisches Landestheater Marburg
Kulturgemeinde Bad Berleburg
One special item of the Literaturpflaster 2018 will be the unique stage production at the Hessisches Landestheater Marburg by Nino Haratischwili, which was worked out in collaboration with the Tumanishivili Theater from Tbilisi. The staging is bilingual with actors from the Marburg ensemble and from Georgia.
"It is night and there are many armed conflicts in Eastern Europe. While snow falls in Germany in the middle of summer, bombs fall in the East. There are six people, and their stories full of longing, love and death are brought together by Jo, the radio presenter, during his broadcast. Radio Universe connects the east and the west, connects Georgia and the broken out war with Germany, where the war remains only a television picture."
The Hessisches Landestheater Marburg offers the visitors of the Literaturpflaster special conditions, inter alia an introduction by the directorship and the dramatic advisors before the play.
